Οι ταινίες που ξεχώρισαν στο φεστιβάλ και τιμήθηκαν με τα 3 βραβεία είναι οι εξής: Το πρώτο βραβείο του φεστιβάλ κέρδισε η ταινία «Birth» της Signe Baumane από τις Η.Π.Α και την Ιταλία, η οποία αφηγείται την ιστορία της Anima, μιας 17χρονης που μένει έγκυος και επειδή φοβάται ανατρέχει στις συμβουλές μεγαλύτερων γυναικών, οι οποίες όμως την φοβίζουν ακόμα περισσότερο. Το δεύτερο βραβείο απονεμήθηκε στην ταινία «Μην Πετάξεις Τίποτα» του Ιορδάνη Ανανιάδη, για το οικολογικό της θέμα καθώς περιγράφει την αδιαφορία των ανθρώπων που οδηγεί στην κατάρρευση το οικολογικό μας σύστημα. Το τρίτο βραβείο κέρδισε η ταινία «Backwards» του Aaaron Hughes από τις Η.Π.Α, η οποία πρόκειται για μια ιστορία αγάπης τόσο προς τα πίσω που κανείς πρέπει να τη διηγηθεί ανάποδα.  The International Film Festival PLATFORMA VIDEO9 will be held December 3-6, 2009 in Bios Cultural Center. With two distinctive competition sections, Platforma Selection & Audience Prize, this year’s Festival hosts films from around the world, while presenting a festival’s tribute with the participation of well known international festivals, ethnographic documentaries, music in motion, etc. Moreover, the programme is enriched with workshops, seminars and open discussions regarding contemporary audiovisual issues as well as DJ sets and parties each night. The Festival will be completed with the closing ceremony and prize awards. PLATFORMA VIDEO9 invites you to submit online your films for preselection until October 31, 2009. |

Τέσσερις μέρες, εκατό προβολές, χιλιάδες θεατές, μια ψυχή: αυτή του δεύτερου Διεθνούς Φεστιβάλ + Φόρουμ Κινουμένων Σχεδίων animasyros 2.0 που ζωντάνεψε στην Ερμούπολη, στην καρδιά των Κυκλάδων.
Δημιουργοί, επαγγελματίες του χώρου της εμψύχωσης τόσο από τον ακαδημαϊκό όσο και από τον εμπορικό τομέα, σκηνοθέτες από κάθε γωνιά του πλανήτη, δημοσιογράφοι, φοιτητές, συναντήθηκαν στην τετραήμερη γιορτή του animasyros 2.0 μέσα σε ένα εύφορο κλίμα καλλιτεχνικής συνδιαλλαγής όπου πήραν μια γεύση από τους δημιουργούς animation του μέλλοντος, ανίχνευσαν τις επαγγελματικές προοπτικές του χώρου και απόλαυσαν τις συλλογές των μεγαλύτερων φεστιβάλ animation της Ευρώπης, όπως του Annecy International Festival of Animated Film της Γαλλίας, του Trickfilm festival της Στουτγκάρδης και του Anifest της Τσεχίας.  Μεγάλος πρωταγωνιστής του φεστιβάλ αναδείχθηκε το κοινό που γέμισε με την παρουσία του τόσο την αίθουσα του θεάτρου Απόλλων όπου προβλήθηκαν οι ταινίες του διαγωνιστικού τμήματος του Φεστιβάλ όσο και τις αίθουσες του Πνευματικού Κέντρου του Δήμου Ερμούπολης όπου διεξήχθη για πρώτη χρονιά και με μεγάλη επιτυχία το φόρουμ. Σύμφωνα με την Vesna Dovniković, Γενική Γραμματέας της ASIFA (International Animated Film Association), Πρόεδρο της ASIFA Κροατίας, Αντιπρόεδρο του World Festival of Animated Films στο Ζάγκρεμπ και μέλος της κριτικής επιτροπής του animasyros 2.0 το φεστιβάλ + φόρουμ της Σύρου είναι αναγκαίο και πολύ σημαντικό για την εξέλιξη της εμψύχωσης εν Ελλάδι, την ενημέρωση του κοινού για τις τελευταίες τάσεις καθώς και για την προώθηση των Ελλήνων animator διεθνώς. Το φεστιβάλ λοιπόν πέτυχε να «αποκεντρώσει» την τέχνη του animation και των νέων μέσων, δίνοντας ταυτόχρονα την ευκαιρία στους ξένους προσκεκλημένους να γνωρίσουν την πρωτεύουσα των Κυκλάδων. Παράλληλα, κατάφερε αφενός να προσεγγίσει ένα ευρύτερο κοινό, αποδεικνύοντας πόσο σημαντικά γεγονότα μπορούν να γίνουν εκτός Αθηνών από νέους ανθρώπους κι αφετέρου να αναδείξει την τέχνη της εμψύχωσης, μια διεθνής τάση εν εξελίξει. For the 8th year the International Digital Film Festival PLATFORMA VIDEO9 took place on 3-6 December 2009 at BIOS Cultural Centre. The festival hosted 120 films from all over the world in two competition sections, as well as a series of film tributes to international festivals, to music festivals and to ethnographic documentary.
In the same context, media literacy initiatives such as the audiovisual workshop PLATFORMA My own Acropolis as well as seminars and open discussions on audiovisual culture, and numerous parallel events and parties.
The festival concluded on Sunday 6 December 2009.
Festivals' Awards
In Platforma Selection 20 films from around the world competed upon the Festival's Jury.
The Grand Prize of PLATFORMA VIDEO9 International Digital Film Festivalwas awarded to the french experimental film Almaritsu by Damien Montaron (2008, 29΄.40'').
Jury's Special Mention to a Greek film was awarded to the greek animation film Mariza by Konstantinos Krystallis (2008, 4΄.25΄΄).
Special mention was also awarded by the Festival's Jury to the fiction film True Beauty This Night by Peter Besson, USA (2009,10')
The Audience Prize of PLATFORMA VIDEO9 was awarded to the greek fiction film Gobolino by Damianos Voganatsis that received the majority of votes by the festivals audience.
Browse the films screened at PLATFORMA VIDEO8. PLATFORMA VIDEO8 International Digital Film Festival took place on 7-10 November 2008 at Technopolis City of Athens Cultural Centre. The festival hosted 202 films from all over the world in two competition sections and a series of film tributes (Festivals Tribute, Nuclei, Eye on Israel, ANTHROPOS), media literacy initiatives such as the audiovisual workshop PLATFORMA in motion as well as seminars, open discussions on audiovisual culture, a photographic exhibition and numerous parallel events and parties. The festival concluded with the award ceremony, which took place on Monday November 10, 2008 in front of a large audience, while a grand closing party followed! Festivals' Awards In Platforma Selection 20 films from around the world competed upon the Festival's Jury. The Grand Prize of PLATFORMA VIDEO8 International Digital Film Festivalwas awarded to the swedish fiction film Galetten by John Hellberg (2008, 22΄). Jury's Special Mention to a Greek film was awarded to the animation short film Homecoming by Sokratis Galiatsatos (2007, 4΄37΄΄). Special mentions were also awarded by the Festival's Jury to the documentaries, Songhua by J.P.Sniadecki from USA and Salaam Aleykum Copenhagen by Saso Niskac a co-production from Slovakia, Slovenia and Denmark. The Audience Prize of PLATFORMA VIDEO8 was awarded to the documentary Poli Problema by the Documentary workshop of the adults education programme of the College of Athens that received the majority of votes by the festivals audience.
